| Customer Reviews: My two sons just LOVE LOVE their BUZZ!!! August 11, 2010 Shineh Kim (Rockville, MD United States) I have two sons, one is almost 4 and a 1 1/2 years old. They are learning to take turns to play with their Buzz Lightyear. We have other characters like Woody and Jessie however Buzz is the most played one. His wings popped out couple times but I could easily pushed them back on. The toy is very durable I'd say. It still looks and functions as new even after played by two toddlers everyday for four months! I am so happy with my purchase!
Good toy, but expensive August 7, 2010 Edward (Caracas, Venezuela) It's a great toy, nice and very interactive features. Nice finish and fair voice quality. It's really very posable. The box is not that good. Very thin and easy to deform. The wins mechanism is fragile and quite easy to damage, specially if you consider this is a toy for children 3 and up. For the price, you can expect better and more durable materials.
Wow, the best Buzz Ever!!! July 19, 2010 Busy Mom 19 (North Carolina) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son is almost 5 years old and just loves this toy, he plays with it constantly, he's had it for almost a year. Some reviewers are right that the toy is too heavy to stand up, but that doesn't bother my son, he props him up, or just carries or flies him around. What surprises me is how durable it is, Buzz has been dropped countless times, the wings fall off but are easy to put back together, the same with the helmet. And this weekend one of the arm pieces fell off, I thought for sure it was broken, but it too easily popped back into place! I have to say this toy was well designed. Other than some scrathes and stickers falling off, it's in great shape, thanks for a great toy, I would definitely recommend it!
Great toy July 1, 2010 Farmerswife 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We got this for my 6 year old son for his birthday, he loves it! The interactive features are great.
The Buzz Lightyear action figure I wanted as a kid! June 27, 2010 dylan21484nj When Toy Story first hit theaters, every kid wanted the toys Andy played with in the film. But the one toy of them all that was the most appealing to kids was Buzz Lightyear. The pop-out wings, light-up wrist laser, and push-button sound effects made him the must-have toy. For Christmas, I wrote a letter to my grandmother so she'd get me a Buzz Lightyear for Christmas. However, she didn't know who or what Buzz Lightyear was, so she couldn't get me one. Not that they'd be easy to find, since they were on level with Tickle Me Elmo in demand. This was also just before the internet made everything available right at your fingertips.
So when I grew up and Thinkway made these Toy Story Collection Buzz Lightyear action figures, I had to get one. It has just about every feature the toy in the movies has. The flip-open helmet, pop-out wings with green and red lights on the tips, glow-in-the-dark green trim (which needs to be "charged" with sunlight first), wrist communication panel that can be opened and closed, and voice and sound effects from the movies are all here. You can even activate different "modes" - Toy Mode and Space Ranger Mode, and Buzz will even move his head and respond to you when you speak to him! The only feature that seems to be missing is the Karate Chop action, but it's understandable that this feature wasn't included due to the overabundance of other features the toy already has. The figure is also well articulated, even down to the individual fingers. And to top it off, it even comes in a box similar to the one the film's toy did, complete with cardboard wings.
There's actually a new version of this figure, which includes the Anti-Gravity Belt used by the other Buzz Lightyear figure in Toy Story 2, However, this one does not come with the belt. I prefer the original figure lacking the belt, since the beltless one appears in all three movies while the one with the belt only appears in Toy Story 2.
Owning yhis toy is a dream come true of mine, and I'm glad to finally have it after all these years. Of course, I had to get a Woody doll to complement it. To infinity and beyond!
