As Advertised September 23, 2008 Thing (Cleveland, OH) After two frustrating sessions using the KitchenAid stuffer attachment, I purchased this item, the Grizzly 5 lb. stuffer. After a couple of uses, am I very satisfied. As other reviewers have mentioned, some of the gear pieces are plastic. However, as a whole, the stuffer is very sturdy and well put together. It holds 5 lb. (barely) and extrudes the sausage in a smooth, uniform matter. I would have liked a piece to hold the stuffer down to the counter top. For the price ($70), this stuffer offers great value to the home cook. The delivery was prompt and the item was received in excellent condition.
Grizzly tuffer H6252 is excellent for the home April 9, 2008 Cowvoigt (Palm Harbor, FL USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Grizzly H6252 5 lb. Vertical Sausage Stuffer SS is an excellent value and good unit for stuffing sausages at home. Excellent control on filling rate and no problems with air bubbles. Would be nice if they supplied a smaller horn for filling 1/2 inch casings, one really needs the the horn to be at least an 1/8 inch smaller horn for filling synthetic casings. It would also be nice if there was a quick release for reloading the unit rather than having to crank the plunger all the back to the top to refill the stuffing chamber. The nylon gears work but seem to feel loose. For the money, this is the best buy for a sausage stuffer that I have located. This is an ideal unit for making small batches of sausage in the home. The unit is easy to clean.
Great value March 15, 2008 D. Wellisch (Glendale, AZ) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I would suggest this stuffer to anyone. I was wary of it because I read all the reviews. People said that they didn't like the fact that it had resin gears. The resin gears are no problem. If you have a problem with them be my guest and spend twice as much for the same stuffer, that will do the same task. This thing is great, it makes stuffing fast and fun. I had a Kitchen Aid stuffer attachment for our mixer, what a waste of time and effort. The Grizzly makes it super easy. Cleaning is also easy. Since I got the stuffer I have made about 10lbs and am really happy with its performance. Don't let these other people posting negitive comments about the resin gears scare you off from buying this. Its a great value and a lot of bang for your buck.
Seems perfect for the price. February 14, 2008 Jeffrey W. Taylor (Murphys, CA USA) I know nothing about varying sausage stuffers but after looking around my gf and I decided to opt for a vertical stuffer. Only problem with this is in general they are rather expensive. After reading around though we choose this model and couldn't be happier. We've had it for around a month now and have made 4(5lb.) batches and it was a breeze. Furthermore our dog actually ate one of the stuffer tubes the night we first used the machine and we contacted the company to purchase a replacement and they said they'd send a replacement set free. About 3 days later we received the replacement set their service really was amazing. All in all I could not be happier with this purchase.

The stuffer was more than adequate. Despite the nylon gears the unit performed without trouble for the entire process.
